Mrs. Antwi is the General Manager for Bethel Dental Clinic. Her role is to ensure that all the pieces come together to make every visit to Bethel a pleasant dental experience. Mrs. Antwi comes to Bethel with over 26 years of experience in business management and in health information management systems. She has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and a master’s degree in health informatics and information Management from the College of St Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, USA. She is a member of the American Health Information Managers Association (AHIMA), as well as the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM).
Mrs. Antwi’s dream is to see a West Africa with excellent healthcare delivery. She sees her role at Bethel as her contribution to that dream. She lives on the outskirts of the city of Accra. She is married to Charles, a lawyer, and they have three boys, one of whom is also a lawyer. She enjoys shopping, fitness walking, and baking in her free time.
Bright has been working at Bethel for the last three years since 2021. He is our money man! He keeps all our financials in order.
He is a Professional Accountant with an obvious love for numbers. He enjoys the great teamwork and the continuous learning opportunities that Bethel offers. Bright loves to cook, watch movies and swim.
Hannah started off as a graduate nurse before training as a hygienist. She has a bachelor's degree in nursing from the Kwame Nkurmah University of Science and Technology and has a masters degree in Public Health from the University of Ghana. Hannah is passionate about educating her patients on how to maintain good oral health. She enjoys reading Christian literature.
Raquel has been a healthcare practitioner for three decades. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She is a licensed nurse as well as a licensed hygienist. Raquel’s combined medical and dental knowledge enables her to support and educate her patients on the link between oral health and overall health. She is originally from Virginia in the United States of America. What she loves about Bethel: “the diversity in our team and the compassion and the love each team member shows towards our patients and each other”. Raquel loves travelling, music and art. Her Ghanaian name is Afia Boamah.
Tanya was born and raised in Norfolk Virginia, USA but has been living in Dallas Fort Worth for the last few years before she relocated to Ghana to join the Bethel team. She has been a dental hygienist for 28 years, 7 of which she has spent teaching dental Hygiene. Her two decades of clinical experience and leadership skills has been a great addition to the Hygiene Department at Bethel. Tanya is passionate about working with her patients to ensure improved oral health and to provide preventive care. She is involved in offering continuous training for our dental assistants. Tanya enjoys working out and exploring different places and events in Ghana. She is the proud mother of three successful adult children.
Afi makes things happen whenever she shows up in any treatment room. She is an epitome of professionalism. She graduated from University of Guelph, Ontario Canada with a degree in biological science. She then trained as a Dental Assistant at Confederation College, Thunder Bay in Ontario. She worked at Smile Makers Orthodontist in Thunder Bay, and at Northwood Family Dental also in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada. She joined the Bethel team in June this year. Afi is a member of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association and is a Level II Certified Dental Assistant. She enjoys the modern working environment at Bethel.
Fiona has been in dentistry for the past 30 years. She has a Diploma in Dental Practice Assistants. She has excellent leadership skills in managing the clinical and administrative parts of dental operations. Fiona joined Bethel from Durban South Africa. She has a 25 year old son and she loves going to church, watching movies and listening to some good music
Zama brings life to the work floor at Bethel. She brings enthusiasm and professionalism to the workspace. Zama has a Diploma in Dental Assisting from Cape Peninsula Technology University of Cape Town in South Africa and has 5 years’ experience in Dental assisting. She specializes in assisting with Family Dentistry, Endodontics, and Implant procedures. Her passion is Pediatric Dentistry. She loves hanging around with the children. She is originally from Pietermariztburg in South Africa but now enjoys Dzorwulu, Accra. When she is not at work, Zama enjoys travelling around Ghana and walking by the beach.
Portia hails from Tsito-Awudome. She lives in Adenta-Accra and is part of the Bethel Dental Clinical Team. She is confident and hardworking. What makes her enjoy Bethel is the excellent teamwork.
Pat is originally from Kumasi. She has a diploma in journalism and has been working at Bethel as a dental assistant since 2021. She enjoys the opportunity to work with the latest technology in dentistry. Patricia is married to Joseph and they live at Akweteman with their two lovely children: Makayla and Zemira
Ever-smiling Selorm has been in healthcare for the past 5 years. She started off in pharmacy before coming into dentistry. She enjoys assisting in surgical procedures. Selorm is from Alavanyo in the Volta Region. She enjoys the opportunity to assist patients to improve their oral health. She loves to cook and watch movies when she is not at work.
For Atsu, a pioneer staff member of Bethel, dentistry is an art which gives him the opportunity to use his creativity to solve problems. It is always challenging but interesting. Atsu had his High School education at Preset Pacesetters Senior High School in Accra. He has had training in the American Heart Association Module Training in Basic Life Support, organized by Africa Partners Medical in Ghana. He also took the Dental Assistants with Expanded Functions (DAEF) course organized by Pamela Lewis of the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in the USA.
In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer. He speaks Twi, Ewe, and English. Atsu is married to Christine, and they just had a baby girl, Precious.
Elsie is part of the team at Bethel that ensures that each patient’s visit is an excellent dental experience. She has a degree in history and sociology from the University of Ghana; and a master's degree in Gender, Peace and Security studies from the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Center, Accra. Her prior experience working with the State Protocol Department, as a Protocol officer, her Sales and Marketing role with Tarzan Enterprise Limited, Accra have all equipped her to be an effective Customer Service Executive at Bethel. She enjoys baking and volunteering. When asked what she enjoys about Bethel, she said “I like our ultra-modern facility and the opportunity to learn new things in healthcare”. Elsie is our Chief Party Organizer. No birthday or special occasion escapes her lenses.
Theresa graduated from the University of Ghana with a degree in Social Work and Sociology. Prior to joining Bethel worked with the Department of Social Welfare, MTN Ghana, and did her National Service at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. Theresa is very active in her church where she loves working with the youth. She enjoys cooking and reading. Theresa loves the team spirit at Bethel and the opportunity for self-development that the clinic offers.
Samuel is a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He graduated in 2016 with bachelor’s degree in Geography. Prior to joining the Bethel team, worked with the Students Loan Trust Fund and Acreaty Docupro. Sam is pleasant and he loves to work with children. He is always keeping an eye on the little ones to be sure they are comfortable in the clinic. Sam is a music man. He is the current Music Director of the youth ministry of Omega Community Church, Tesano Accra.
Alex has been with Bethel for the last 9 years and his contribution has been invaluable. He ensures everything that needs delivery gets to its expected destination safely and on time. He joined the Bethel team from Newmont Gold Ghana. He is married with three kids.
