DIGITAL X-RAYS

X-rays enable our team to catch and diagnose any dental issues that might be hidden below the surface of the smile. Instead of using traditional film, we’ve gone fully digital. Plus, the images can be stored, copied, and sent infinitely, making it easy for our team to look them up to see how your teeth have changed over time.

INTRAORAL CAMERAS

Our intraoral camera will give you a “dentist’s-eye view” of your smile. It fits easily into the mouth to take high-definition pictures of your teeth and gums, and we can show them to you right in the treatment room on a chairside monitor. These will help make your appointments more transparent and easier to understand. Your dentist can use them to talk about the current state of your dental health and point out any problem areas that might require additional treatment.

CONE BEAM CT SCANNER

Coming up with an extremely precise treatment plan is very important when placing dental implants, as a few millimeters can make all the difference in the success of the procedure. That’s why we like to use our cone beam CT scanner, which is able to create an exhaustively-detailed 3D image of the teeth, jaw, and nerves in and around the mouth. With this information, we can fully personalize a procedure based on a patient’s dental anatomy, making it as efficient and noninvasive as possible.

DIGITAL IMPRESSION SYSTEM

Dental impressions are necessary for designing a wide variety of restorative and cosmetic services, including crowns, porcelain veneers, and dentures. To speed up the process of creating one and save our patients from having to bite down on dental putty, we can now take impressions with a few non-contact scans of the teeth. Our digital impression technology is used to capture THOUSANDS of close-up images of the teeth and gums, which the advanced software quickly stitches together to create one cohesive model of the bite we can use to design any treatment digitally.

SOFT TISSUE LASER

In the past, treating gum disease often involved a scalpel and sutures, which isn’t very pleasant for the patient. Thankfully, dentistry has progressed quite a bit over the past few years, introducing state-of-the-art dental lasers. Using our soft tissue laser, we can quickly and comfortably remove harmful bacteria as well as infected tissue while causing little to no bleeding, swelling, or pain. It’s an extremely reliable and precise instrument that also delivers a consistently comfortable experience for our patients.

Patients certainly appreciate it when we give them local anesthetic so they won’t feel any pain, but many absolutely HATE the shot that is required to get it. This approach causes the body to not even register that anything is happening, meaning patients won’t feel that little “pinch” before they go numb.

CAVITY DETECTION SYSTEM

Finding and treating tooth decay is extremely important, and we normally could only do it before by examining our patient’s teeth using small metal tools. This method often misses extremely small cavities, allowing them to worsen over time. Thanks to our state-of-the-art cavity detection system, nothing gets past us anymore. This tool scans the enamel with a special light that can find even the slightest hint of decay, meaning we can intervene with conservative care as early as possible and stop many cavities before they cause serious damage in the first place.

ORAL CANCER SCREENING

When performing our oral cancer screenings, we’ll use an instrument called OralID, which is a special kind of fluorescence technology that is able to illuminate potentially cancerous cells that would normally be invisible to the naked eye. This enables us to catch abnormalities as early as possible so a patient can get the care they need right away. This device literally helps us save people’s lives every year!

Our goal is to have a completely paper-free practice one day, and our electronic dental records are a huge step towards that. With them, we can instantly access all the information we need about our patients, ensuring we know everything about their health history, medications, allergies, and past dental treatments. Through the power of transillumination technology, we can easily capture the early signs of cavities before they have a chance to take form. With it, we can see through the tooth, exposing its internal structure and recognize any occlusal, interproximal, or recurrent legions or cracks in tooth enamel. Thanks to its use of non-ionizing radiation, it’s also completely safe for children, pregnant women, and patients who may feel uncomfortable about X-ray exposure.
